Ever get stuck in a plateau?

Plateau

Plateau

Seems I’ve been on a Plateau for the past year.  I lost 41 pounds in 2007 and have managed to keep it off, through a low-carb eating plan (diets dont work, lifestyle changes do!).

My problem is my belly.  It’s measured the same 34/35/36 for the past year, no matter how many reverse situps I do (regular situps cause too much pain in my neck) or how much walking I do (I need new tennies, too).

How frustrating is that?  I know, I know, no one else on earth can relate.

Since I lost the weight, i still have the extra overhang of skin on my belly.  Being 40 definately makes me work harder at getting and staying fit.  The ole body doesn’t snap back like it used to when I was 20.

There are things I do that help, like drinking water and decaffeinated or low-caffeine teas.  Teas are fat fighters, especially the different varieties of Green Tea, White tea and Black tea.  My favorites are Green, Jasmine and Chamomile.

Vegetables and fruits are also natural fat fighters.  Be careful when shopping, buy only low-starch and low-carbohydrate vegetables.  There are hundreds of websites out there that have lists and ideas for those types of vegetables.

Gladly accepting advice on how to push myself along or over ths plateau!

When using tea for weight management its important to get something of good quality and to remember not to go overboard. I have heard of people going like 8-10 cups a day.

Very true, buy good quality Teas and limit your intake to 2 or 3 cups per day.
