Before, in another nework, long ago (ok, last winter), I had several health sites that I had to leave abruptly.  They were enjoyable to post and write on, so leaving them when they were popular and getting noticed was difficult.

Which brings me here!  Several of the writers from ‘that network’ banded together and create ‘Blogalogues.com’, thus, inviting me to return to the fold, so-to-speak.  Thanks, Jerri and Toni!

Before, I had a general health blog, a diabetes blog and a nutrition blog, which will be kind of rolled all into this one blog.  The very first blog I had was the general health blog, and being my baby, I fell in love with the name.  Since it’s on the ‘other network’, I cannot use that name, but I think I can use something similar.

So, EncourageHealth.com was born!

What health plan do I follow, you may (or may not) be asking?  I follow a Low-carb plan (not any one particular diet or guru), which helped me lose 41 lbs two years ago (and kept it off, details http://www.edgeunitedstates.com/index.php?ch=health_fitness&sc=fitness&sc2=news&sc3=&id=84766).  This helps keep my diabetes under control as well.

The picture is from a hike I went on with the Trailblazers Hiking Group (info coming soon) last fall on Washington State’s coast.  Those wooden steps were interminable!
